I think I can speak for all Millenials and Gen Z when I say that it is NOT about expecting easy work-- its about expecting fair treatment and an actual living wage. Yes, theres a few lazy ones, but I think we can say the same for every generation.
A fair point to make is that the minimum wage has not been changed since 2009, over ten years ago. Since then, the cost of living has increased 28%.
We want to work, we understand work is hard and life is hard, but we refuse to settle (if we can). A lot of people have the privilege to settle and others fight for proper pay and treatment while working these mediocre jobs. Influencers understand they have a definite amount of time to reap the benefits-- and if that is their source of income and how they start their business, why talk down on it?
The disconnect/misunderstanding between older generations and the newer generations is apparent between this article and my comment.
